Q: What is Blink Card?
A: Blink Card is a Smart Business Card. Using NFC technology, your custom URL (website link) or Blink Club Profile page will automatically populate when somebody taps their NFC-enabled smartphone/device to your card.
Q: I met someone and kept trying my Blink Card but it didn’t work! Is my card faulty?
A: With Apple phones, the NFC works best when you tap the card on the top front area (kind of where the phone’s earpiece is). For Android smartphones, the best spot is the middle back area of the phone. If they have a super thick phone case then it might be blocking their phone’s NFC sensor. They would also need to have their NFC option turned on in their settings. They can simply go their phone’s settings, search “NFC” and then enable it. If they already use Apple or Google pay regularly, then chances their NFC sensor is already turned on.
Q: So why’s Blink Card better than my 5000 paper business cards?
A: Let’s get real… most paper business cards gets thrown out. You rely on the receiver to contact you once you have given your card and departed. We created the Blink Card so that A: You have a better chance on following up on that lead (especially if they add you to a social channel right away – via your Blink Club profile page of course), and B: Get out of the cycle of buying more and more business cards when you run out.
Q: Do I need to give them my Blink Card?
A: No… you keep it and reuse it every time you make a new connection to easily share your contact information (or any other link you choose to program into your Blink Card -eg) online store, contact form, social media page. We recommend using your Blink Club Profile page because you can add or remove any contact information there. It’s also optimized to load quickly and you can update the information anytime you want to!
Q: I forgot my Blink Club password 🙁
A: On the Blink Club login screen, just click on “Forgot Password” and enter in your email address to get your password reset instructions. Stumped? Email us at blink@blinkcard.ca and we’ll be happy to help!
Q: Where do I find my default password for my new Blink Card?
A: Check the welcome letter for instructions and your default password.
Q: How long does a Blink Card last?
A: The cards we use are rated for up to 10 years. We offer a 3 year guarantee on all cards purchased from us. If the NFC stops working, just send it back to us within 3 years of your purchase date and we’ll send you a new one. *this does not include coverage on physically damaged cards. For example, the card is snapped, broken, cracked, damaged from long-term liquid exposure.
Q: Do I have to have my card programmed to my Blink Club Profile?
A: No, you can choose to direct your Blink Card to any website. Just make sure you let us know at time of purchase. The card can be reprogrammed at a later date for a small reprogramming fee should you later choose a different URL to link to your card.
